Hey hey, once again it’s been a long time since I’ve blogged (or released anything on Also Ran!), so I’m sorry about that.
It doesn’t mean I haven’t been active, hell no. At the end of 2012 I had ‘Devil May Care’ released on the wonderful Movida Records out of Frankfurt. The EP came complete with remixes from Legowelt and Michael Peter and thankfully was very well received, with Osunlade, Claude Von Stroke, Richie Hawtin, M.A.N.D.Y. SIS and many others getting behind it.
I’ve also been deep in the studio hiding from the cold, though in fairness this winter has been kind to us all in Europe. I’ve got five new productions in the pipeline, ranging from downtempo and bass heavy broken beats, to some chuggy and raw (isn’t it always) house bumpers. All tracks are composed largely on my Moog synthesiser, various drum machines, and recently I’ve taken to recording live percussion with all manor of wood blocks, shakers and pretty much anything I find in my studio that I can whack, bash, or rattle!
