Hey ho, hope all is good with you all.
We want to say thanks for all the love we’ve been generating for our releases, and to all of you who’ve been in touch asking why we haven’t put any beats out for a while, WE’RE SORRY! We’ve been in the lab and have some serious house music to drop over the Summer, but we’ve had to re-think our strategy due to the whole digital music market being so saturated with junk. Viral internet campaigns and spamming and shit just isn’t us. There will be some music from myself out on wax in a month or so, I’ve just signed a number called ‘Devil May Care’ to Movida records. Last Saturday we ran ‘Burning Love’ at Fluid in London. There was such a fantastic atmosphere, and it was amazing to see so many friends, old and new. I personally enjoyed spinning with my boy Miles Sagnia a whole lot. It had been a while since we’d put on an event in the UK (and although it was a lot of fun) we’d forgotten how stressful mobilising troops can be! I must have lost a few hairs off my head in the process, and I felt very serene on the Sunday when all done and dusted.
Apart from that, we’ve had to put our ‘Music for Life’ courses on hold for the time being- this is simply due to the much publicised cuts hitting the UK since the change of government. It blows, and we’re really disappointed to put a stop to what were very successful and well received projects, but what are you gonna do? I’m no fan of the Conservative party, but it also looks like the last lot spunked a lot of money up the wall that nobody really had. Seems to me that we’re stuck between a rock and a hard place worldwide, and by their very definition those who crave power are generally not right thinking people. Enough about that, when we’ve worked out a utopian solution we’ll be sure to report back…
